TactiFrame Aluminum Center Connector
The center connector is the component that makes field transport of a multi-pole frame practical. Pre-installed at the midpoint of every TactiFrame carbon fiber pole, it enables each pole to fold to approximately fifty percent of its deployed length via a manual quick-clasp mechanism. For a twelve-pole frame kit, this reduces total packed volume substantially compared to an equivalent rigid-pole system.
The clasp locks open in the deployed position. In this state, the center connector introduces no flex point into the pole and does not reduce structural performance under load. The transition between transport and deployment configurations requires no tools.
Additional center connectors are available for pole-coupling applications, non-standard fold configurations, and replacement.
Highlights
- Transport configuration. A manual quick-clasp mechanism folds the pole to approximately 50% of deployed length with no tools. Pre-installed at the pole midpoint on all TactiFrame carbon fiber poles.
- Structural integrity when deployed. The clasp locks rigid in the open position, introducing no flex point into the assembled pole and maintaining full structural capacity under fabric tension loads.
- Additional use cases. Functions as a coupling interface between two poles joined end-to-end. Available individually for replacement or non-standard installation positions.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Material | Precision-machined aluminum |
| Installation | Pre-installed on all TactiFrame CF poles |
| Mechanism | Manual quick-clasp, no tools required |
| Compatible pole OD | 40 mm |
| Folded configuration | Approximately 50% of deployed length |
Standard transport and deployment cycle
Disengage the clasp to fold the pole for transport and storage. Lock the clasp open before installation into the frame structure. No tools required at either step.
Additional applications
- Pole coupling: joining two poles end-to-end for extended spans using a center connector as the coupling interface
- Replacement: direct substitution for an existing factory-installed connector
- Non-standard fold point: installation at a position other than the pole midpoint for custom structural configurations
