TactiFrame / Component MDTF-SADDLE-MOUNT
Saddle Mount
Saddle Mount
TactiFrame Aluminum Saddle Mount
A standard TactiFrame cubic frame does not include junction points along pole spans. In 8 ft and 10 ft configurations under structural load, unsupported mid-span length can introduce flex. The saddle mount adds a structural junction at any point along a pole span to address this.
The saddle mount attaches to a TactiFrame carbon fiber pole at any position along its length and connects to a TactiFrame hook mount on an adjacent structural member. A mid-span saddle mount and cross-pole reduces the effective unsupported span length of the pole by approximately fifty percent. No corner connector assembly is required, and existing frame structure does not need to be modified during installation.
Highlights
- Mid-span attachment. Attaches at any position along a TactiFrame carbon fiber pole, with no restriction to pole ends.
- Connection interface. Connects to TactiFrame standard and 45 degree threaded hook mounts. No corner connector required.
- Structural function. Reduces effective unsupported span length when used with a cross-member and adds load-sharing junction points to existing frames without structural modification.
- Construction. Precision-machined aluminum, corrosion-resistant.

Span reinforcement
For 8 ft and 10 ft TactiFrame frames under structural load, install a saddle mount at the midpoint of any horizontal or vertical pole span and connect a cross-pole through the hook mount interface. Effective unsupported span length is reduced to approximately half without modifying corner connectors or existing connections.
T-intersections
A pole intersecting another pole at a mid-span point (not at a pole end) requires a saddle mount at the intersection. Corner connectors are designed for pole end connections only.
Equipment and panel mounting
Saddle mounts provide hook mount interface points for carbon fiber plates, equipment brackets, and mounting hardware at any position along a pole, not only at corner connector positions.
